Talk to AnnaConnect your Microsoft account
Rolyio connects to Microsoft accounts through Microsoft OAuth. There are no separate Rolyio passwords — you sign in with your existing Microsoft account and Microsoft handles authentication.
Supported accounts
- Work or school accounts (Microsoft 365) — accounts in your organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant.
- Personal accounts — outlook.com, hotmail.com, and live.com accounts.
The account needs an Exchange mailbox, which is the case for Microsoft 365 accounts with email and for personal outlook.com accounts.
Sign in with Microsoft
- Go to the Rolyio sign-in page and choose Sign in with Microsoft.
- Pick the Microsoft account you want to connect.
- Review the requested permissions and approve them. Rolyio asks for access to your contacts and mailbox settings so it can sync contacts and Outlook categories.
You can connect several accounts — for example, a Google account and a Microsoft account side by side. Rolyio shares contacts across both ecosystems.
How labels work with Microsoft
In Rolyio, a label on a Microsoft account is an Outlook category. Categories you create in Outlook appear in Rolyio, and labels you create in Rolyio appear as categories in Outlook. One limitation from the Microsoft Graph API: categories cannot be renamed after creation. When someone shares a label with you, the shared contacts appear in your address book under a category named “Label name (Shared)” — on the web, in Outlook, and on your phone.
Admin consent for organizations
If your organization’s Microsoft 365 tenant restricts third-party apps, each user may see a permission prompt — or be blocked entirely — when signing in. A tenant administrator can approve Rolyio once for everyone:
- Open the Team page in Rolyio.
- Click Install for organization.
- Sign in with a tenant admin account and grant consent.
After that, users in your organization can sign in to Rolyio without individual permission prompts.
Disconnecting
You can disconnect a Microsoft account at any time from the Data sources page. Rolyio deletes its stored OAuth tokens immediately; your contacts stay untouched in Outlook. See Delete your data.
