Connect your Google account

Rolyio uses Google OAuth to connect to your account. There are no passwords to create or remember β€” you sign in with the Google account you already use, and Google handles authentication.

Sign in with Google

  1. Go to the Rolyio sign-in page and choose Sign in with Google.
  2. Pick the Google account you want to connect.
  3. Review the requested permissions and approve them.

That’s it β€” your account is connected. You can connect more than one account later from the Data sources page.

Permission levels

Rolyio asks for permissions incrementally, so you only grant what you actually need. Each connected account shows an onboarding checklist with its current level:

  1. Sign-in β€” the basic step. Rolyio learns your email address and name so it can create your Rolyio account.
  2. Contacts β€” lets Rolyio read and update your Google contacts and contact groups. This is required for syncing and sharing labels.
  3. Domain users β€” for Google Workspace accounts. Lets Rolyio suggest coworkers from your company directory when you share a label, so you can pick recipients by name instead of typing full email addresses.
  4. Admin β€” for Workspace administrators only. Unlocks admin-level directory features, such as reading domain groups.

You can stop at any level. Sharing works with just the Contacts permission; the higher levels only add convenience and admin features. Rolyio detects automatically whether you are on a personal Gmail account, a Workspace account, or a Workspace admin, and shows only the levels that apply to you.

How labels work with Google

In Rolyio, a label is a real Google contact group. Groups you create in contacts.google.com appear in Rolyio, and labels you create in Rolyio appear in Google β€” names and membership stay in sync in both directions. See How sync works for timing details.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect a Google account at any time from the Data sources page. Rolyio deletes its stored OAuth tokens immediately and can no longer access that account. Your contacts stay untouched in Google. For details, see Delete your data.
