Invite your team
Rolyio has two kinds of invitations. Both send the recipient an email with a sign-in link, and both links expire after 7 days.
Team invites
Use a team invite to add someone to your Rolyio organization โ for example, when you are setting up Rolyio for your company.
- Open the Team page.
- Enter the coworkerโs email address and send the invite.
- The recipient gets an email with a link. They click it and sign in with their Google or Microsoft account โ no password to set, since Rolyio uses OAuth sign-in only.
Once they have signed in, they appear as a member on the Team page, and any labels already shared with them (or with your whole domain) start syncing to their address book.
Label invites
Use a label invite when you have shared a label with someone who has not signed in to Rolyio yet. Their share sits in pending status until they do โ the label invite is the nudge.
- Open the label and open the Share dialog.
- Find the pending recipient in the list.
- Click the envelope icon next to their name to send the invite email.
When they follow the link and sign in, the share completes automatically: their status flips to active and the shared contacts appear in their address book as a โLabel name (Shared)โ group or category. See Share a label for how statuses work.
If a link expires
Invite links stop working 7 days after they are sent. Just send a new one โ resend the team invite from the Team page, or click the envelope icon in the Share dialog again. Nothing else is lost: pending shares stay saved regardless of the invite link.
Domain-wide sharing needs no invites
If you share a label with your entire domain, every coworker who signs in to Rolyio โ now or in the future โ receives it automatically. Invites are still useful to let people know Rolyio exists, but the sharing itself requires no per-person action.
